Paxton noticed the glare he was receiving but paid no mind to it. He found it sort of funny to see the guy getting all flustered about something such as his name. Then he said something about the girls and Pax once again fought the urge to roll his eyes at the guy as he acted so much like a gentleman that it made him sick. Of course Pax acted that way, when it was necessary to upkeep his image, but this guy was just over the top. Olivari's tab. No questions asked. What a fucking schmoozer. "I'll have another drink." He was going to need it if he had to keep listening to Leo talk.
He looked to Alayna, wondering what her reaction to Leopold was. He could tell she was a bit annoyed, seeing as the moment he kissed her neck, she seemed to want to ravish him. That only gave Paxton confidence that seemed unwavering. "Leo here is from Belgium. His accent is just....alluring. Is it not?" Might as well make the guy think he liked him to some point, even if his compliments were dry or sarcastic. He squeezed Alayna's waist as he spoke, pulling her closer to him. Leighton couldn't stop glancing over at where Alayna and Paxton were practically having sex on the dancefloor. It was disturbing. She knew it wasn't anything romantic, just some sort of messed up agreement to sleep with each other, but she didn't understand it and it disgusted her. Alayna was not exactly Leighton's first choice in friends, even if her parents did insist on the two hanging out and playing tennis together. She nearly lost it on the girl once, hitting the tennis ball so hard at her that she was disappointed when it didn't smack her in the face after an insulting comment.
She marched over, determination on her face. "Excessive PDA is frowned upon. I'll have to ask you to leave. People are getting offended." It was mostly sarcastic, as she looked at them both, Paxton's eyes filled with lust and Alayna and her short dress. She noticed the guy they were talking to, a familiar face as he was in her grade, some sort of transfer student from a foreign country and raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, Leo, sorry." Alayna emphasized the shortened name with another sickeningly sweet smile. Nothing against the guy, he seemed alright, but Alayna was mostly interested in doing... other things that only involved herself and Paxton. Teasingly, she managed to hike up her dress to an impossibly short height. "A drink would be nice, that's very kind of you." She still smiled and laughed. "They're all obsessive, don't worry about it." Alayna said, dismissively. In her mind, they were all vying to be the next Lockwood and that wasn't happening anytime soon. "Accents are charmingly seductive, I must say."
Alayna leaned in close to Paxton, her breath hot in his ear. "Though, he stands no chance against you." She whispered, giggling. Her lips began kissing down Pax's neck. The two had agreed to be friends with benefits and it was something that had been going on for a year and a half, approximately.
A familiar voice stood out in the crowd and Alayna immediately knew it was directed towards her. A smirk spread across her lips, raising her head from the crook of Paxton's neck. "Oh Leighton." She laughed, not bothering to hide the discontentment. "You're so funny!" Alayna allowed her hand to drift down to Pax's bottom, giving a gentle squeeze. She enjoyed setting him off at public places.

Leo's eyes widened slightly at the boldness of the girl who had approached them. Though he had to agree that Pax and Alayna's display was a little... excessive for a public venue, he wasn't sure he had met anybody who would dare call them out on that. He recognized the girl though. She was in his grade, but beyond that he was not sure who exactly she was.
Clearly the other two knew exactly who she was, however. Leighton. The name rang a bell. Leo wrinkled his nose at the way Alayna said her name. There were so many rude undertones beneath the hello.
There was a sort of silence after the encounter, one which made Pax grinding up on Alayna even more awkward. Leo cleared his throat and turned toward the red head. "I'm sorry... I don't believe we've met," he said. "Leo Olivari," he introduced himself, with a short bow, forgetting for a moment that wasn't exactly how American's introduced themselves, but it was a lot more natural to Leo. "Do you, too, know Paxton?"

Paxton hated when she did this to him, yet loved it at the same time. Her breath was hot on his neck and then she began kissing and he nearly lost it. "Why thank you," he managed. "Although I know he doesn't...just play nice with him. Maybe he won't be nearly as annoying if we treat him like one of us." He was pulling her closer when he heard a voice and he saw a flash of red hair, his sister stepping forward in a modest yellow dress with an immediate attitude. Alayna's response was full of venom and he didn't really do anything about it. Leighton didn't deserve her respect as far as he was concerned. She deliberately made it known that she didn't like Alayna or what they had with each other. He assumed part of it was jealousy. "What are you doing here?" he asked her. He didn't remember the last time he saw her here. Just after he spoke, he felt Alayna's hand wandering and captured it as it landed on his butt. She was evil, pure evil. He loved it.
Leighton hated the way Alayna laughed and her response she'd thrown over at her that obviously was coated with venom. She was all over her brother right in front of her. It happened enough. Leighton had walked in on them several times, in the living room as if they were unable to make it up the stairs or something. It was disgusting. "It was either this, or another tennis match with dad. I really hate tennis." Although she disliked a lot of things...like Alayna for instance, who she'd tried to like...really tried, but failed to find any redeeming qualities. Leighton looked for the best in people, but sometimes it just couldn't be found.
"Save it for the bedroom," she tossed back at Alayna. "Although your dress is so tight, I don't know if he'll be able to get you out of it." She couldn't help but throw something in like that. It was hard not to when faced with Alayna.
She turned to Leo, who she noticed had spoken to her. "Well...maybe we haven't met. But I've seen you before," she told him, thankful that he'd torn her away from the sexscapade before her. "I'm Leighton." His bow was a bit ridiculous but made a hint of a smile appear on her lips. "And unfortunately, I do know Paxton. He lives in my house." She made a wry face.

Alayna nodded thoughtfully. This Leo kid... befriending him did have positive aspects. Herself and Paxton were already powerful and dynamic, but adding to the group would only increase the influence. Not to mention, the kid was loaded. Drinks at the club were pricey and he didn't even bat an eye at buying for more than fifteen girls. "Befriending him does have its benefits.... but I think we should have a little fun." Alayna murmured, smirking once more. Her mind whirled with ideas. Yes. Leo Olivari would be quite surprised. Her eyes twinkled with mischief, letting her hand rest on Pax's butt, her hand in his.
Glaring at Leighton, Alayna stood up a little straighter. "It's the club, Leighton. This is socially acceptable here. Just because I'm not a prude, doesn't mean I should audit myself around one." She smiled again, suppressing an eye roll. At one point, the Lockwoods and Hartfields were inseparable. Then, Leighton began to question everything, especially authority. Alayna couldn't stand the little bitch. She got in the way and did nothing. Their friendship quickly dissolved and now, Paxton and Alayna spent most days ignoring his sister and pretending she didn't exist.
"Your sister is so fucking annoying." Alayna vehemently whispered in Pax's ear again, nibbling around his earlobe. "Once we get out of here though, we'll have a night to remember." Her eyes filled with lust for Paxton, before they landed on Leo and Leighton interacting. Good. Maybe they could slip away then.

"Oh!" Leo said surprised when Leighton revealed that she lived with Paxton. And obviously that meant they were siblings. "I wasn't aware that Pax had a sister. He doesn't speak of you much," Leo pointed out, wondering why. His sister was awfully pretty. And bold. Though he could imagine Pax couldn't appreciate his sister's fiery attitude when it was getting in the way of whatever he was doing to Alayna. Leo wasn't even completely sure if he could call it dancing anymore. He was pretty sure he saw the blonde lick Pax's earlobe a few times, and for some reason each time made Leo just slightly more uncomfortable. Of course, he didn't show it. He decided it was best to ignore the display just to his side. It would be easier to converse with somebody who wasn't so preoccupied. And anyway, if there was another Hartfield, then there was another way to make ties with the elite of Oak Brook. And apparently her name was Leighton. "Do you two not get along?" Leo asked with a curious glance between Leighton and Paxton. Sure, Leo never really had any rivalries with his own siblings, but they were much younger than he and in a huge palace it was easy to get away from each other. He didn't have much of any relationship at all with his younger siblings, especially since he had been in the states for a while.

"Exactly," Paxton agreed. He figured he'd been doing it wrong all along, being annoyed by Leo and shrugging him off, flat out insulting him. Sure that was how he preferred to do things, but being straight forward with people hardly got you anywhere in life. "We'll just string him along for a while...make him one of us....and then...well, I guess I could leave the rest to you." He didn't feel like dealing with his sister, and so he practically ignored her presence, only smirking at what Alayna said, before kissing along her jaw.
"Annoying is an understatement," he told her. "I come here to have fun and the fun police arrives just on time."
"Socially acceptable?" Leighton practically snorted. "I don't even think you know what that means, let alone know how to act it." She tossed the words over her shoulder, barely looking at the two. She could hear them whispering, probably something about her. Leighton knew what she was getting herself into when she got onto their bad sides, when she just wouldn't act how they did or do things they did. She used to...to a certain point, but her heart was never in it. And Alayna had always annoyed her from a young age, especially when she used to compare Leighton to a rag doll because of her hair.
She turned back to Leo. "I wasn't aware he had a foreign friend..." Although friend was probably the wrong word. "And I'm not surprised, or really offended. I don't talk of him much either." Why would she? It was better to disassociate herself from him. She didn't want to be known as someone who was related to him. "And...it's more like he refuses to be a decent human being, so I refuse to associate myself with him than we don't get along," she explained to Leo. Interesting accent he had. He seemed a bit full of himself, but not in the way Pax was. She couldn't really place it. He just seemed like he felt he was appointed some sort of authority.

Leave the rest to her. Alayna smirked. "Isn't that how it always goes?" she asked, eyeing up Leo. "Yeah. He's.... smug, but not hopeless. We just have to put him in his place... let him know and understand that we're the boss here on the East. He's rich, but our family has background and heritage. This foreigner is nothing without us and we let him believe that... for a little bit anyway. Befriend him. He looks naive to American customs." Alayna's smirk spread further across her face. "And then, we'll have Leo in our hands and at our disposal."
Rolling her eyes, Alayna dismissed Leighton. What a fucking loser. Her brother didn't like her and Alayna hated Leighton. This only was going to cause the girl more problems in the future... "Yeah, no kidding. I didn't even know she knew where the club was, let alone enter one." She tilted her head back, closing her eyes. Alayna didn't know how much longer she could resist.

"I don't think he's that bad," Leo said in regards to Paxton. Sure, he was pretentious and snobby, but Leo could relate to that. Everybody's bad traits had a purpose too, right? Leo looked over at Leighton though, and agreed with her on one point, "But I do have to say he needs to work on his public actions. If I were to treat a girl like he treats Aylana in my homeland... I'm not sure what exactly would happen but whatever reputation I and my family had would be tarnished for a while..." Leo said truthfully. As the prince, he was constantly followed and scrutinized for every little mistake or public fopah. That was part of the reason he left to live in another country for a while. "I can see how being related to him may be a bit embarrassing," Leo half teased, though at the same time he was completely serious. Despite his wanting to be 'friends' or something of the sort with Paxton, he was glad he did not have to share a genes or a surname with the guy.

"I love how you think," Paxton told Alayna as she had already understood what he meant without him fully explaining. "Since he's so annoying, we might as well make him useful to us instead of complaining about him. Make him think he's one of us and then yes, we have him at our disposal. He seems rather naive."
"Just forget about her, Alayna. She's not going to be successful like you and I. It doesn't matter." He pulled her closer, kissing down her neck when she tilted her head back.
"That bad?" Leighton crossed her arms firmly across her chest. Surely this Leo guy had not spent enough time around her brother. Did he know the things he'd done? Of course, he'd sworn Leighton to secrecy and she was tightly bound, but in Leighton's opinion, any redeeming qualities Pax once possessed were now overrun by his negative traits. "Where is it that you're from again? Belgium, right?" Still, she did not understand how he didn't seem entirely disgusted by her brother. "Embarrassing?" Sure, it was embarrassing, but it was way more than that. "More like I'm ashamed," she declared, trying to keep her gaze from shifting to Alayna and Paxton.
Why had she come here anyway? Oh yeah, to get out of tennis. She let out a sigh, blowing a loose strand of red hair out of her face.

Hearing Leighton's declaration, Alayna rolled her eyes once more. "Oh hun, don't you know you're the embarrassing one? I mean, come on. Your parents have to nag to keep up with familial ideals. You're constantly defying them and your brother. It just makes you look bad and I feel ashamed for you." She replied, the bitter venom tone back in her voice that didn't match the sweet smile.
"We're on the same wavelength, I swear." Alayna said with a smirk. "Exactly. And he seems to have this almost hero like worship for you, which will come in handy. And, I'm sure our sweet little Leo underestimates the power we possess and how we can single handedly ruin his life in a minute." Her voice dropped to a whisper.
"Oh believe me, I'm trying. I know she doesn't matter. What matters is you." Alayna closed her eyes with a moan.

"Yes, Belgium," Leo said to Leighton. She must have known a bit more about him than she liked to let on. "My father sent me here to become cultured and educated last year," he explained. Leo didn't feel any different though - even if every time his father asked Leo would insist that the experience was expanding his horizons and exposing him to new things. "It is a beautiful country," Leo explained, "and I highly recommend a visit if you're ever thirsty for a European vacation." Might as well boost his country's tourist industry while he was here.
Leo turned to Paxton and Aylana and quickly observed he would not be getting a word in with either of them any time soon. "I suppose I understand where you are coming from with him, but ashamed is such a harsh word," Leo said. His father used it a bit too often. "He means well. He just lacks a certain.... professionalism... while he's in public." Leo was convinced, though, that Paxton had a good side and that it was worth getting to know him and have him as a friend. After all, he was the first born son to a family with huge monetary influence.

Leighton was pretty well behaved for the most part. She didn't give off a ridiculous rebellious vibe and she tried her hardest to blend in on the East Side for the longest time, for the sake of the family name, but a lot of it just wasn't right. Especially things her brother did and the manipulative personality of Alayna. She tried to be proper and kind and look for the good in everyone, but growing up here had made her sort of bitter, especially since nobody seemed to see things her way. What she would do for a friend who would go to the west side with her for a day to see what it was like, to show the West Oakers that some of them aren't so bad. It was a stupid dream really. "I'm not afraid of looking bad, that's the difference between me and you. Think about that when you cake your face with make-up every morning," she shot back at Alayna, unable to hold back. Her red hair showed through in her personality sometimes. Leighton knew the difference between right and wrong, unlike these people she was surrounded by who had a very flawed view.
She turned away, her face slightly flushed in anger as she faced Leo. "Sounds like a beautiful place, unfortunately the only way I'd be going on vacation there is if it was a family one and I'm not willing to spend that much time around them. "Cultured and educated?" Leighton kind of found that funny. "And how's that working out for you?"
She tried to give Leo the benefit of the doubt since he wasn't from here, or this country, but she couldn't help but be irked. Ashamed was a strong word? Did he know what things Paxton had done? She was shaking her head before he'd even finished. It was more than lacking professionalism and he didn't mean well. If he did, his way of showing it was capable of putting him in a mental ward. "I get you're trying to defend him, Leo, but be careful who you associate yourself with around here, okay? Not everyone is like me." She wanted to face palm at him and drag him around trying to show him how things really were at the same time. It was frustrating. With a glance back at Paxton and Alayna all over each other and the change of a song blasting in the club, Leighton shifted her weight from one foot to the other. That tennis game was sounding better and better.
Paxton nodded with a grin. "Of course we're on the same wavelength. It's nice to have somebody who finally is." His sister certainly wasn't. And he liked how Alayna thought. Leo was definitely as gullible as they came and being from another country only made him easier to manipulate. They could use him as a lackey and they get rid of him whenever they pleased. It seemed as if Leighton was trying to befriend him, which wouldn't work. They could turn Leo against her in a second anyway. "We'll have to invite him somewhere. Maybe to an east oak party."
He rolled his eyes as Leighton shouted back at Alayna. "She's really getting on my last nerve," he commented, starting to steer Alayna away from the two.

"Dear, I don't have to, my skin is fucking flawless." Alayna retorted, rolling her eyes. At first, she struggled against Paxton's hold. Was it bad that she wanted to beat the shit out of this little bitch? One day, the girl was going to pay. Pay badly. Alayna could assure Leighton's future downfall.
"Yeah, nobody is like Leighton cause she's a fucking loser." Her insults were becoming pathetic, and shaking her head, Alayna finally gave in and allowed Paxton to steer her away from the potential fiery situation. Both girls didn't back down and a fight was on the horizon.
"I'm sorry." Alayna shook her head. "No kidding. I want to punch her, right in the face." Her voice rose with anger, and Alayna nodded towards the bartender. "One cherry vodka sour please." Leaning against Paxton, Alayna let out a heavy sigh. "Sorry. Let the anger get the best of me. Now, as you were saying, I think that's a great idea. You or I should throw a house party and let things unfold from there."

Leo wasn't sure exactly what Leighton meant when she warned him about people who 'weren't like her', and that certain people shouldn't be trusted. Leo was pretty sure she was referring to Paxton, but how different could Leighton and Paxton really be if they were brother and sister? In fact, Leighton was exhibiting some of Paxton's signature narcissism by suggesting she was somehow 'better' than some of the characters in East Oak. He decided it was a subject to be dropped. "I'm not really sure how you measure one's knowledge and acculturation," Leo eloquently stated. In Leo's mind, honestly, nothing had changed at all for him, except he didn't have assistance while he was at school or body guards in public. So far he'd made it just fine 'on his own'. Therefore, it was enough of a success to him.
