Pax pushed his way through the crowds of people, their bodies meshed together as they moved around wildly to the thumping music. Normally he'd be writing an essay on his mac or something of the sort, but it was a warm summer night and he figured what better night than to go out and have a good time at the club. Besides, he'd been there numerous times, even before he turned eighteen. It was easy to get in when you had authority and when you were him. His words dripped with persuasion.
He was in a pair of faded blue jeans and a Hollister polo, looking for anybody familiar. Pax chose who he talked to very carefully. People had a habit of changing your image. He had to make sure they were people he wanted to be associated with. Believe it or not, he didn't like people in East Oak, some of them anyway. Although he supposed anything was better than talking with someone from West Oak.

Leo was standing at the bar of Elite night club. He was surrounded by girls who were giggling at his stories and accepting his offer to buy them drinks. He attracted people in that sense. It was easy for Leo to change his age on his identification card, seeing as it wasn't even an American one. Most bartenders didn't know how to tell if a Belgian ID card was fake or not. Plus, when you're next in line for the throne you can pretty much be any age you want. Of course, the Americans didn't know that, nor did they need to.
All Leo was sure of is that the girls in Oakbrook liked free drinks, and LOVED his accent. Leo was already king - more or less - of the junior class at East Oak Prep. And he loved every moment of it. He sipped at his drink when he spotted a familiar face nearby. "Master Hartfield," Leo mussed, catching the older boys attention. "May I interest you in the drink of your choice?" Leo was fairly aware that he sounded ridiculous, but girls seemed to love it so he never really stopped speaking in the regal manner which he was taught. He usually referred to people by their last name, though never made other call him Master Olivari - seeing as he probably wouldn't respond half the time. Before Pax could answer, the bar tender had placed another glass in Leo's hand, and he extended it out as an offering.

Paxton was still moving his way through the crowd, when he heard a voice. Not just any voice, but a perfectly annoying accent that belonged to Leo. He rolled his eyes before turning towards the other blonde who was now holding out a drink to him, even though Pax hadn't even accepted the offer yet. Gingerly, he took the drink from him and raised it to his lips. "You're awfully annoying, Master Olivari," he shot back at him, making fun of the way he addressed people which Paxton thought was utterly ridiculous. "But I can't turn down a free drink as much as the next person." The guy was a junior, not even old enough to be at the club, but....as much as he wanted to point out his complete breaking of the rules, it didn't matter. Paxton only pretended he followed the rules when he actually broke them quite often. Leo hadn't even been here very long and managed to annoy and amuse Pax at the same time.

Leo chuckled as Pax took the drink. He stretched his arms out and lay them on the shoulder of either girl sitting to his side. He was pretty sure Pax didn't like him, but that never stopped Leo from trying to strike conversation with Paxton - seeing as he was king of the senior class and the only person in the school who may be slightly more powerful than Leo. Leo didn't like authority, and he didn't like when people were considered better than him for no apparent reason. So Leo did the only thing he could - attempt to get on Pax's level.
"You seem annoyed my presence," Leo pointed out with a raised eyebrow. "I thought by now we would be good friends, Paxton." Leo knew that he was pushing his boundaries, but the more he made Pax angry in front of the girls, the more they would gravitate toward him in the long run. It was a devious plan, but thus far it had worked fairly well. And perhaps at some point Leo would be able to say he was even more influential than Paxton Hartfield.

Don't give me that shit, Olivari. Paxton thought, but he didn't say it out loud. "Annoyed by your presence? Not at all." His tone dripped with sarcasm, as he had seconds ago said that he was annoying, which was true. Paxton had no idea why he had so many girls hanging on him all the time, actually he did. It was that damn accent. He could swoon every girl in East Oak, maybe even his sister Leighton and she was not easily swayed by boys. She thought they all had secret agendas. "And we are friends. I nurtured you into this town, if you do not recall." He'd shown the guy around and such, all while keeping an eye on him and trying to make sure he did not rise above Pax's level.

"Fair enough," Leo said, taking a sip of his own drink before turning to face Paxton once again. "Of course your tone often suggests otherwise, but I suuposed I keep buying you drinks, so why change it?" Leo laughed at himself. It was true that Leo let Pax stomp around on him a bit more than he should. But truth be told he didn't know how to stop it. He didn't hold the authority like his father did. He wasn't as powerful or demanding, even if he tried to be.
"What brings you here tonight? Looking for a good time? Take your pick," he said gesturing to the girls around them. None were offended by the sexism in presenting them as something to be borrowed or bought. They were all too enthralled and excited to be in the presence of 2 of the most wealthy and attractive boys in East Oak. Their attention was barely on the words said by the boys and instead the girls were focused on looking pretty and nodding when addressed.

"Exactly!" Paxton said, feigning a grin and a chuckle as he took another sip of his drink. There were some people he'd rather not talk to, but Paxton knew how to keep his image up and part of that was not pissing off the people others liked, even if they were annoying bastards from Belgium with to die for accents. He knew how to play people, he'd been playing his parents his entire life and they hadn't even caught on. The only person who seemed to see through him was his sister Leighton yet she constantly told him that she knew there was good in him and she didn't understand why he acted the way he did. Honestly, Pax wanted to look good, but do things his own way and that was the only way he could explain it.
So when Leo gestured to the girls surrounding him, Paxton waved it off. "Nah, but speaking of a good time, have you seen Alayna Lockwood?" Now that girl was a bombshell. Sure, the girls all over Leo were good looking and came from wealthy families, but Alayna was top of the chain. "She told me she'd be at Elite tonight."

Alayna impatiently tapped her toes against the pavement, sighing. "Excuse me, where's the manager?" She loudly asked, the surrounding people rolling their eyes. Alayna, frankly, didn't care if she looked like a bitch. Lockwoods never waited in line. For anything. The bodyguard, who looked like he was asleep, opened his eyes and nearly choked.
"Sorry Ms Lockwood, have a great night." He said, letting her inside the dark club.
The flashing lights pulsed around Alayna, as if to great her to the club. For as long as she could remember, Alayna got in, free of charge and without legal I.D. The perks of being the elite, rich and famous in Oakbrook. She used it to her advantage, frequenting the place to flirt with boys, get drinks free of charge as well as advertise any upcoming shows.
Alayna smoothed out her impeccable blonde hair, a beaming white smile on her face. Confident, and bold, Alayna closely brushed by one boy who looked immediately flustered afterwards. She smirked. Her tight, black bodycon dress left little the imagination and flattered her seemingly perfect curves. Her skin, flawless. Hair, perfectly in place. The latest Manolo Blahnik shoes that weren't even available for sale yet. Alayna smugly walked through the club, the crowds of people parting almost immediately.
Being a Lockwood definitely had its perks.

Leo furrowed his eyebrows, trying to imagine who exactly Pax was talking about. There were so many bottle blondes in East Oak that they were hard to keep track of. Once he realized exactly who Pax was after though, he shook his head. "Hasn't been here as far as I know," he told him honestly. Alayna had never really given Leo the time of day. Mostly because she refused to date 'beneath her'. The concept made Leo laugh, though, because he was sure if that was the reason she was holding out, it would ne very funny to see her face if she learned he was, in fact, royalty. It would probably be priceless to see the face on half of the people he knew. However, Leo was intent on finding real friends who were not nice to him just because he was a prince. Perhaps that was why he was so drawn to Pax. The guy treated him like dirt, and so few people in Leo's life actually had the balls to do that. It was a change of pace that made life just a little more interesting. As if on cue, however, attention shifted to the blonde who just entered the club. "Target spotted," Leo said nodding toward the door. It was odd how everything seemed to freeze and focus on Alayna as she entered the room. It was as if the world actually did revolve around her.

"Oh, that's right, you don't know her so well because she's a senior. You only know the junior blondes who hang all over you," Paxton said snidely, gesturing to his posse of girls on his arms. The guy was truly pathetic, seeming desperate to reach Paxton's level, which was impossible. He turned around when he spoke again, telling of Alayna's appearance. She was wearing a slinky dress and many gazes stuck to her as she made her way through the crowd. "Maybe I'll do you the pleasure of introducing you to her." He sent a smirk in his direction before turning to walk up to Alayna and wrap arms around her from behind, lowering his lips to her neck. "Late are we?"

Alayna turned down numerous offers for drinks, the boys all slack jawed and staring at her exposed skin. She smirked. Free drinks from people she knew were alright. For someone who slept around often, Alayna was careful about being slipped drugs and only accepted those closest to the Lockwood clan and directly from bartenders. Otherwise, it was turned down. Not that it discouraged or dismayed any of her admirers.
Suddenly, a sultry voice and a pair of arms wrapped around her waist. Alayna knew it was no other than Paxton. The two had some history, as their families were extremely close. Alayna and Leighton no longer talked that often, only seeing each other the odd family occasion or when she was slipping away to Pax's room for the night. Despite that, herself and Pax had a.. friends with benefits type thing. They were both rich, and both enjoyed sex. A simple relationship, really.
"I'm never late. The party doesn't start until I'm here." Alayna, intimately pulling Paxton closer with a flirtacious smile and giggle.

Leo rolled his eyes at the display in front of him. He wasn't all that socialized, but even he could tell that Pax and Alayna were overdoing it on the flirtatious closeness. They weren't even drunk, so they couldn't use that as an excuse. They were just both kind of slutty. And if Leo could pick up on that, then you KNEW it was obvious. He excused himself from the bar, receiving a few kisses on the cheek from the girls who he was sitting with and walked over to Pax and Alayna. "What a lovely evening, and what a lovely lady," Leo said toward Alayna. After all, Pax said he'd introduce her to him. He stood confidently beside Paxton, a show of a nonexistant brotherhood between the two. All for show, really. There was nothing more powerful than fake ties in east oak. That was how you got to know new people.

Paxton grinned. "Of course it doesn't," he said, agreeing with her and planting a few kisses on her neck, nipping at the skin there before standing up straight, an arm still around her as Leo peeled himself away from the junior girls and made his way over. He shouldn't have doubted that the guy would want to be introduced.
Leo stood next to him now, complimenting Alayna. "This is Leopold," he had a certain way of saying his name, emphasizing the last part. "He's going to be a junior at east oak prep next year." She probably had at least heard of him, but then again, he didn't know. He and Alayna didn't have deep conversations about the people of East Oak. They slept together and went to family events in East Oak because they were from two of the richest families.
Leighton parked her baby blue convertible outside of the Elite Club. She wasn't a big fan of dance clubs as the thumping music and thrashing bodies gave her a headache, but there were lots of interesting people and the one other time she'd been there, she'd practically annoyed the shit out of some guy, asking him way too many questions when he'd only wanted to get in her pants. She hadn't gone again afterwards.
She spotted her brother's silver Ferrari outside though and she knew he'd be there. The best part of this entire thing was that her parents told her to go, that it was something girls her age should be doing and the club was eighteen plus. She wasn't even eighteen yet! Still, her only other option had been playing tennis with her father, which she'd had enough of lately. She'd tried to convince her parents to let her take a journalism summer course at the college, but no such luck. Sometimes she thought they didn't even listen to what she said.
So now she was walking into the club, in a yellow dress that went down to just above her knees and a pair of golden sandals, her red waves in a side ponytail, wrinkling her nose at the choice of music as she entered, walking around the outskirts of the dance floor, having easily gotten past security because of her status, something that slightly irked her. She spotted her brother's blonde head and his arm slung around who could only be Alayna and tried not to walk in that direction.

Alayna bit her lip, groaning as Pax kissed her neck. She was about to unwind herself, take his hand and lead him off somewhere but felt the start of an introduction. Managing to hold back an eye roll, Alayna offered her gracious, one million dollar smile. The name sounded familiar, and the younger girls of the town couldn't seem to get enough of him.
"Why thank you." She accepted the compliment, still smiling. "It's nice to be introduced to you." Her eyes scanned Leopold. Not bad, not bad. She would never sleep with anyone younger than her, but he was an attractive fellow. The girls gathered around the bar, enviously looking over at the small group of three, powerful and influential people of Oakbrook. Alayna sent a fake, beaming smile as well as a small wave. Good image was important in this town.

"Oh the pleasure is mine," Leo insisted. "And please, call me Leo." He said, giving a sidewards glare to Pax who insisted on mocking him for his name. Leo never found the name all that funny until he had come to America. Here, apparently, Leopold is not a very regal name. Instead it is met with mockery. So now, Leopold went by Leo mostly. It was a lot easier to say in short conversation as well. Leo glanced over his shoulder as Alayna waved to the girls at the bar. He chuckled a bit at the envious looks on their faces. "You would think they would have had enough of me by now," he nearly mumbled, but it was just loud enough for the other two to hear. "I've heard great things Miss Lockwood, and it is an honor to meet you tonight. Drinks on me, if you're interested," he offered the girl, as well as Paxton another drink. "Tell them to put it on Olivari's tab. No questions asked," he promised.
