Oak Brook is a fictional town in New York divided into East Oak and West Oak. East Oak is home to the elite and the wealthy, while West Oak is the place where those who are barely scraping by call their home. There have always been tensions between the East and West, as the East are offered a lot more opportunities including better jobs and schooling while the West feel trapped in their tiny run down apartments, struggling to make income or get a good education.
The two parts of town are connected by a corner convenience store on Oak Street, where citizens from both sides often cross paths. Some feel as if the separation is necessary and everybody should stay in their own place, others are fed up and yearn for a different, better society. The main citizens involved in this are the teenagers, the youth who will stand up and speak their mind.
Will you fall into line and be bound by your social status or will you stand up?
Whatever you feel, lines will be crossed.
