I GOT A BAD BOY, I MUST ADMIT IT- - - - - YOU GOT MY HEART, DON'T KNOW HOW YOU DID IT - - - - - Marley swore she was going to die of starvation if she didn't ingest something edible in the next eight minutes or so. She had spent most of her Saturday morning in the gym at the rec center, practicing a new choreography that she was working on. She was always pushing herself to be the better out of her and her brother, and her competitive edge showed whenever she's working on something alone. She became irritated easily, but even then she isn't all that scary-- she was more than a few inches shorter than most people in the first place and her voice didn't help her 'small' image either. All morning she had been working hard and it took her nearly six hours to realize that she hadn't eaten anything since dinner the previous night. So she forced herself to step away from the gym for a bit-- just for a bit, she promised herself-- and booked it for the convenience store, knowing that was the best place to find a snack without spending everything in her wallet.
She was currently prowling around the aisles of the convenience store, her hair down in loose curls over her shoulders with her bangs swooping to the side, nearly shielding her eyebrow. They were slightly messy looking, considering she had loosened them from dancing for six hours straight. There had been a time when she looked bushy-tailed and all that at five-thirty this morning, but since it was around noon now, she looked more disheveled than neat and tidy. (Like she could have cared less, anyway.)
Marley wasn't dressed in anything nice, so it would be easy to assume she was from the West side: a torn up pair of jeans, boots, and a tank top with her hoodie slung over her forearm. She looked around at all the snacks, humming and narrowing her eyes. Her stomach growled and she huffed slightly, grabbing a bag of Ruffles chips and a Gatorade bottle from the refrigerators in the back. She debated on getting a cookie or two, narrowing her eyes as she gazed at the little heated glass display container. "Whatever, I'm starving," she muttered to herself before gingerly grabbing one and sliding it into a wax paper bag she had gotten from beside the container. She sighed and ran a hand through her hair, pushing her bangs out of the way before heading up to the cash register and fumbling slightly to get out a ten-dollar bill from her wallet while juggling a cookie, a bag of chips and a Gatorade bottle all at once, and not to mention trying to keep her hoodie from falling off her arm.

Kaely constantly found herself out and about around the town, whether it be East Oak or West Oak, it didn't matter. You would find her anywhere with a few people around, despite her roots. Some people wouldn't even consider thinking Kaely was from West Oak, with the fact that she chose to always look so nice. But at the same time, she prided herself from where she was from. West Oak was her home, and it always would be.
Today Kaely found herself wandering through the convenience store looking for something sweet for the family. Her brother had just graduated from the third grade, and Kaely thought she should get something for the little booger.
Messy curls framed her face as she glanced down the candy aisle, looking for Jackson's favorite type of M&M's. He was obsessed with the chocolate pretzel type, and Kaely thought it was so nasty, but it was his candy, not her own. In her sudden hurry to get the candy and go, Kaely nearly ran into another girl. "Sorry," her tone was apologetic as she moved past her and quickly grabbed herself a cookie.
At the checkout counter, Kaely was holding a basket that was filled with cheap sweets and an oversized soda. She had about twenty dollars on her, so she knew she'd have enough to pay for it. Jackson would be ecstatic, and she wouldn't be sure how thrilled her mother would be, but she'd get over it. Kaely never got in trouble for attempting to make them happy.
She also saw the girl she nearly bumped into back in the candy aisle. She recognized her from the sweatpants and tank top. Funny, she seemed to be a west oak but she never had met her. "Uhm, Excuse me." Kaely chimed curiously "But are you from West Oak?" [/color][/sub]

I GOT A BAD BOY, I MUST ADMIT IT- - - - - YOU GOT MY HEART, DON'T KNOW HOW YOU DID IT - - - - - Marley looked over her shoulder and smiled politely at the girl that had spoken to her, turning completely to face her. "Yeah," She said politely, tilting her head. She thought for a moment. Did she really look that much like she was from West Oak? She glanced down at herself, humming in understanding. She surely wasn't dressed like anyone from East Oak. Honestly, in her opinion, she didn't own anything that looked like it was from the East side anyway. She had one dress that was slightly more fancy that the rest of her wardrobe, but she rarely wore it. She didn't think it fit her anymore in the first place.
"I'm Marley." She introduced with a friendly smile, taking a moment to decide on holding out her hand or not. She furrowed her eyebrows. "I would, like, shake your hand but I'm kinda.." She trailed off, laughing quietly as she nodded at the food in her hands. Her stomach growled and she huffed slightly, sending a discreet glare towards the guy in front of her, as if to say hurry up. She turned back to the blonde girl, smiling at her. "If you don't go to the rec center very often, you probably don't see me very much," She said with a slight shrug, pressing her lips into a line. "I spend most of my time there. I'm a dancer," A smile spread across her features at the mentioning of dance.

[small]Kaely was pleasantly surprised at her willingness to speak. Some people felt a bit... intimidated by her friendly nature? It was odd, but at least she knew she'd have a decent conversation. "Awesome. West Oak-er born and raised." When the girl looked down at herself, she bit her lip. Of course she was wondering if it was about her appearance, and honestly, it was. An East Oak-er never dressed like that. They'd always have to look perfect, because they had this higher standard? Sure, Kaely was wearing a white blouse and a floral patterned blue skirt with cute sandals, but that was because she felt like getting a bit dressed up today. Typically, if she was going to the store or something, she would have no problem with comfortable.
"Kaely," She responded, and laughed at her next comment. "Yeah, don't worry about that. I'm a bit limited in hand movement myself." Even from here she could hear the growling of Marley's stomach and she looked in her hand to see the cookie, chips, and Gatorade. "A dancer? That's amazing. I dance around my room every so often. I'm a big 'performing arts' fan. But I am better at singing and drawing, to be completely honest." Kaely returned the easy going smile, and found herself suddenly excited. "So are you going back to the Rec center, then?" [/color][/small]
